We all need a safe place. A soft landing; a tight hug at the end of a long day. Arnica is honored to hold space during the magical, vulnerable times when a family is growing. People become parents, children become older siblings. We see you.
Back in 2012, Lauren Hake walked into a midwifery office for the first time and had her heart and mind cracked open. Now she is a licensed midwife, and so grateful to be able to provide midwifery care and birth services to folks in the greater Portland area, as well as plant medicine products to folks all over. This is Arnica Midwifery and Apothecary. Welcome <3

Midwifery services
Planning a homebirth? Our midwifery services include prenatal care from 8 weeks gestation, on call availability from 36 weeks until birth, care during birth, and care from the moment of birth through 6 weeks postpartum.
Montrice services
For folks that prefer or need to plan to birth in the hospital. We see you throughout pregnancy, accompany you to the hospital for support during the birth, and follow up in the postpartum.
Placenta encapsulation
Includes pickup from the birth place and all materials. We follow time honored traditions to prepare your placenta, then deliver your placenta medicine for use during postpartum
Doula services
Prenatal visits, support for you and your partner during the birth, follow up postpartum.
